Pīkari Mai aims to restore light to the digital world, so it may shine on us here in the physical world.

Pīkari Mai was created to honour indigenous writers around the globe, in honour of each of our nations, in our descendance of the four winds.

We acknowledge the shared strength of indigenous folk and our shared commitment to our unique cultural practices, languages, treasures, arts & rites.

Here is the call to action: Cut out the headlines, (stop the squawking parrots). Pay attention, look, listen, and learn from indigenous reporters. It is for us as Māori people and our indigenous cousins across the globe.

It is an honour to work with you all and to share the life essence of Pīkari Mai with you.

Together, we are a flourishing flax plant where the new, innermost leaves are supported by the outer to become strong and continue the growth of the whole.
